TL;DR
The paper reports the latest results from the Muon (g-2) experiment at Brookhaven, achieving high precision measurements that test the Standard Model and explore potential new physics.
Contribution
It presents a new high-precision measurement of the muon (g-2) with direct muon injection, advancing experimental accuracy in the field.
Findings
New result with 5 ppm precision
Discussion of sensitivity to non-standard physics
Implications for Standard Model tests
Abstract
The status of the muon (g-2) experiment, E821 at the Brookhaven AGS, is given. A new result with a precision of 5 parts per million has been obtained with direct muon injection into the ring and is presented. The theoretical motivation for the experiment, and a discussion of the sensitivity to non-standard model physics is also discussed.
