Test Result of Time-Of-Propagation Cherenkov Counter
Takayoshi Ohshima (Nagoya U.)

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel Cherenkov detector concept that measures both the Time-of-Propagation and emission angle of Cherenkov photons for improved particle identification, supported by initial R&D results.
Contribution
It presents a new detector approach combining TOP and emission angle measurements, with initial R&D demonstrating feasibility.
Findings
Successful demonstration of the combined TOP and angle measurement concept.
Initial R&D results support the detector's potential for particle identification.
The new detector concept shows promise for future experimental applications.
Abstract
A new concept concerning Cherenkov detector for particle identification by means of measuring both the Time-of-Propagation (TOP) and horizontal emission angle () of Cherenkov photons is described here. Some R&D works are also reported.
