C. C. Briggs

TL;DR
This paper presents a straightforward derivation of the Einstein-Maxwell field equations using the second exterior differential of a precursor to the soldering form, applicable to n-dimensional manifolds and specifically in 5-dimensional general relativity.
Contribution
It introduces a novel, simplified derivation method for Einstein-Maxwell equations based on exterior differentials and soldering forms, extending to higher dimensions.
Findings
Derivation method is simpler than traditional approaches
Applicable to n-dimensional manifolds with general linear connection
Specific application demonstrated in 5-dimensional general relativity
Abstract
A simple derivation is given of the Einstein-Maxwell field equations from the 2nd ordinary exterior differential of a precursor to the soldering form for n-dimensional differentiable manifolds having a general linear connection and in 5-dimensional general relativity in particular.
