On the gravitational redshift
Vesselin Petkov

TL;DR
This paper clarifies that in gravitational redshift, the photon’s frequency remains constant while its wavelength changes, and explains the mechanism behind this phenomenon.
Contribution
It demonstrates the constancy of photon frequency in gravitational redshift and describes the underlying mechanism for wavelength change.
Findings
Photon frequency remains constant during gravitational redshift
Wavelength changes due to gravitational effects
Mechanism explaining wavelength variation
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is twofold - to demonstrate that in the gravitational redshift it is the frequency a photon that is constant, and to describe the mechanism responsible for the change of its wavelength.
