Initial Conditions in String Cosmology
Dominic Clancy, James E. Lidsey, Reza Tavakol

TL;DR
This paper critically examines the pre-big-bang string cosmology scenario, challenging the idea that the Milne universe acts as a universal past attractor and providing examples to support this view.
Contribution
It offers a critical analysis of the past attractor conjecture in string cosmology, questioning the universality of the Milne universe as a past attractor.
Findings
Milne universe unlikely to be a general past attractor
Provides examples challenging the attractor conjecture
Supports a revised understanding of initial conditions in string cosmology
Abstract
We take a critical look at a recent conjecture concerning the past attractor in the pre-big-bang scenario. We argue that the Milne universe is unlikely to be a general past attractor for such models and support this with a number of examples.
