Some Connections between Quantum Tunneling and Inflation
John W. Norbury

TL;DR
This paper explores the relationship between quantum tunneling and inflation by analyzing the Wheeler-DeWitt equation across four models, showing conditions where tunneling potentials correspond to inflationary behavior.
Contribution
It establishes a connection between quantum tunneling potentials and classical inflation in different models using the Wheeler-DeWitt framework.
Findings
Tunneling potentials are linked to inflationary solutions in the models.
Classical inflation occurs under the same conditions as quantum tunneling.
The study provides a unified view of quantum and classical cosmological phenomena.
Abstract
The Wheeler-DeWitt equation in the minisuperspace approximation is studied in four different models. Under certain circumstances each model leads to a tunneling potential and under the same circumstances the classical version of each model leads to inflation.
