G. A. Gonzalez, P. S. Letelier

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new method using conformal transformations to generate static, finite-radius thin disk solutions with nonzero radial stress, including pressure or tension, expanding the modeling capabilities of such astrophysical structures.
Contribution
It presents a novel approach to constructing static thin disk solutions with radial stress using conformal transformations, which was not previously available.
Findings
New solutions for static thin disks with radial stress
Method to incorporate radial pressure or tension
Enhanced modeling of astrophysical disk structures
Abstract
New solutions for static non-rotating thin disks of finite radius with nonzero radial stress are studied. A method to introduce either radial pressure or radial tension is presented. The method is based on the use of conformal transformations.
