Chaos and Taub-NUT related spacetimes
P.S. Letelier, W.M. Vieira

TL;DR
This paper investigates how chaos manifests in test particle motion within Taub-NUT spacetimes with dipolar perturbations, revealing that the NUT parameter reduces chaotic behavior.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the NUT parameter suppresses chaos in Taub-NUT spacetimes with dipolar halos, providing new insights into spacetime stability.
Findings
NUT parameter attenuates chaos in test particle dynamics
Dipolar halo perturbation induces chaos in Taub-NUT spacetime
Poincaré sections used to analyze chaotic behavior
Abstract
The occurrence of chaos for test particles moving in a Taub-NUT spacetime with a dipolar halo perturbation is studied using Poincar\'e sections. We find that the NUT parameter (magnetic mass) attenuates the presence of chaos.
