Whittaker quantum universes
H.C. Rosu, J. Socorro

TL;DR
This paper explores the mathematical properties of quantum universes modeled by the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker metric, revealing their connection to the Whittaker equation and related factorization schemes.
Contribution
It demonstrates that quantum universes with radiation obey the Whittaker equation and introduces the Witten factorization and Darboux isospectral schemes for this context.
Findings
Quantum universes obey the Whittaker equation
Formal Witten factorization is presented
Double Darboux isospectral scheme is developed
Abstract
We show that closed, radiation-filled Friedmann-Robertson-Walker quantum universes of arbitrary factor ordering obey the Whittaker equation. We also present the formal Witten factorization as well as the double Darboux strictly isospectral scheme for the Whittaker equation
