Static Einstein-Maxwell Solutions in 2+1 dimensions
Mauricio Cataldo (Universidad del Bio-Bio, Chile), Patricio Salgado, (Universidad de Concepcion, Chile)

TL;DR
This paper derives static Einstein-Maxwell solutions in 2+1 dimensions, showing how magnetic solutions relate to BTZ black holes and exploring superpositions with perfect fluids.
Contribution
It introduces new static solutions in 2+1 dimensions, connecting magnetic solutions to BTZ black holes and analyzing superpositions with fluids.
Findings
Magnetic solutions can be derived from BTZ black holes via transformations.
Superpositions of fluids with electric or magnetic fields are explicitly constructed.
The Einstein-Maxwell equations exhibit specific invariances under transformations.
Abstract
We obtain the Einstein-Maxwell equations for (2+1)-dimensional static space-time, which are invariant under the transformation . It is shown that the magnetic solution obtained with the help of the procedure used in Ref.~\cite{Cataldo}, can be obtained from the static BTZ solution using an appropriate transformation. Superpositions of a perfect fluid and an electric or a magnetic field are separately studied and their corresponding solutions found.
