Tonatiuh Matos, Dar\'io N\'u\~nez, and Hernando Quevedo

TL;DR
This paper presents three classes of static solutions to Einstein--Maxwell equations coupled with a dilaton field, encompassing known solutions and allowing for new generalizations as black holes or strings.
Contribution
It introduces three new classes of solutions parameterized by harmonic functions, unifying and extending previous Einstein--Maxwell--dilaton solutions.
Findings
Solutions include black holes, dilaton black holes, and strings.
Most known solutions are special cases of these classes.
The solutions are expressed in terms of two harmonic functions.
Abstract
Three different classes of static solutions of the Einstein--Maxwell equations non--minimally coupled to a dilaton field are presented. The solutions are given in general in terms of two arbitrary harmonic functions and involve among others an arbitrary parameter which determines their applicability as charged black holes, dilaton black holes or strings. Most of the known solutions are contained as special cases and can be non--trivially generalized in different ways.
