Scale Factor Duality: A Quantum Cosmological Approach
M. C. Bento, O. Bertolami

TL;DR
This paper explores quantum cosmology derived from string theory, focusing on the Wheeler-DeWitt equation and the role of scale factor duality symmetry in the early universe.
Contribution
It introduces a quantum cosmological model based on the string effective action and analyzes the implications of scale factor duality at the quantum level.
Findings
Demonstrates the presence of scale factor duality in the quantum cosmological solutions.
Provides insights into the quantum behavior of the early universe within string theory frameworks.
Analyzes the Wheeler-DeWitt equation in the context of string-inspired minisuperspace models.
Abstract
We consider the minisuperspace model arising from the lowest order string effective action containing the graviton and the dilaton and study solutions of the resulting Wheeler-Dewitt equation. The scale factor duality symmetry is discussed in the context of our quantum cosmological model.
