TL;DR
This paper investigates quantum-kinetic effects in the early Universe, revealing that quantum corrections can cause a slight variation in the gravitational constant from the GUT epoch to now.
Contribution
It introduces a quantum correction to the Vlasov equation that predicts a small but significant variation in the gravitational constant over cosmological time.
Findings
Quantum corrections lead to a variation of the gravitational constant.
The gravitational constant at GUT epoch differs from its current value by about 10^{-4} to 10^{-3}%.
Quantum-kinetic effects influence early Universe cosmology.
Abstract
We analyse quantum--kinetic effects in the early Universe. We show that quantum corrections to the Vlasov equation give rise to a dynamical variation of the gravitational constant. The value of the gravitational constant at the Grand Unification epoch is shown to differ from its present value to about .
