Topologica Defects and Corrections to the Nambu Action
Vanda Silveira, M.D. Maia (Universidade de Brasilia)

TL;DR
This paper derives corrections to the Nambu action for (1+2)-dimensional defects by expanding in thickness and considering curvature effects, providing refined models for defect dynamics.
Contribution
It introduces a systematic expansion of the effective action including curvature-dependent corrections for defects in (1+2) dimensions.
Findings
Corrections depend on curvature scalar and Gaussian curvature.
Non-straight solutions influence the effective action.
Provides a framework for more accurate defect modeling.
Abstract
The effective action of a (1+2)-dimensional defect is obtained as an expansion in powers of the thickness.Considering non-straight solutions as the zero order term, the corrections to the Nambu action are found to depend on the curvature scalar and on the gaussian curvature .
