Rainich theory for type D aligned Einstein-Maxwell solutions
Joan Josep Ferrando, Juan Antonio S\'aez

TL;DR
This paper simplifies the characterization of type D aligned Einstein-Maxwell solutions by showing they can be described solely through algebraic conditions, removing the need for differential equations.
Contribution
It introduces an algebraic characterization of type D aligned Einstein-Maxwell solutions, streamlining previous differential-based criteria.
Findings
Type D aligned solutions characterized algebraically
Simplification of Rainich theory for this subclass
Potential for easier solution classification
Abstract
The original Rainich theory for the non-null Einstein-Maxwell solutions consists of a set of algebraic conditions and the Rainich (differential) equation. We show here that the subclass of type D aligned solutions can be characterized just by algebraic restrictions.
