Kaluza-Klein reduction for the Unruh brane
David Jennings

TL;DR
This paper develops a Kaluza-Klein reduction framework to analyze the Unruh effect on a brane in AdS space, revealing that massive mode contributions are exponentially suppressed, refining our understanding of particle production due to acceleration.
Contribution
It introduces a novel Kaluza-Klein reduction approach to the Unruh effect on branes in AdS space, accounting for massive mode corrections.
Findings
Massive Kaluza-Klein modes contribute exponentially suppressed corrections.
The Unruh response on the brane can be understood as particle production for each mode.
The correction to the standard Unruh effect in Minkowski space is quantitatively characterized.
Abstract
We present a Kaluza-Klein reduction for the Unruh response that a brane, in an AdS bulk would experience due to its acceleration. The Unruh radiation is realised as particle production on the brane for each of the Kaluza-Klein modes. A correction, coming from the massive modes, is calculated for the standard Unruh effect in Minkowski spacetime and it is found that the response coming from these modes is exponentially suppressed.
