Celine Cattoen (Victoria University of Wellington), Matt Visser, (Victoria University of Wellington)

TL;DR
This paper introduces a generalized Puisieux series expansion method to analyze the behavior of the scale factor near cosmological milestones in FRW universes, impacting the understanding of related physical observables.
Contribution
It develops a novel generalized Puisieux series approach to study cosmological milestones, extending previous methods for analyzing scale factor behavior.
Findings
Provides a new mathematical framework for cosmological analysis.
Links series expansion to physical observable consequences.
Enhances understanding of universe evolution near milestones.
Abstract
We use generalized Puisieux series expansions to determine the behaviour of the scale factor in the vicinity of typical cosmological milestones occurring in a FRW universe. We describe some of the consequences of this generalized Puisieux series expansion on other physical observables.
