Variational Methods in Loop Quantum Cosmology
Fatimah Shojai, Ali Shojai

TL;DR
This paper introduces an action functional for loop quantum cosmology's difference equation and demonstrates how optimizing this functional yields effective approximate solutions.
Contribution
It presents a novel variational approach to solving loop quantum cosmology difference equations by optimizing an action functional.
Findings
Effective approximate solutions obtained through variational optimization.
The approach provides a new method for analyzing loop quantum cosmology equations.
Abstract
An action functional for the loop quantum cosmology difference equation is presented. It is shown that by guessing the general form of the solution and optimizing the action functional with respect to the parameters in the guessed solution one can obtain approximate solutions which are reasonably good.
