Spinning cosmic strings: a general class of solutions
N. Ozdemir

TL;DR
This paper presents a broad class of solutions for spinning cosmic strings within Einstein's gravity and Einstein-Cartan theory, analyzing their properties, including the existence of closed timelike curves.
Contribution
It introduces a general solution framework for spinning cosmic strings in both Einstein and Einstein-Cartan theories, including interior and exterior spacetime models.
Findings
Existence of solutions in Einstein's gravity for spinning cosmic strings.
Exact interior and exterior spacetime solutions in Einstein-Cartan theory.
Presence of closed timelike curves in these spacetimes.
Abstract
In this work, we give a general class of solutions of the spinning cosmic string in Einstein's theory of gravity. After treating same problem in Einstein Cartan (EC) theory of gravity, the exact solution satisfying both exterior and interior space-times representing a spin fluid moving along the symmetry axis is presented in the EC theory. The existence of closed timelike curves in this spacetime are also examined.
