Scalar Field Entropy in Brane World Black Holes
K.K. Nandi, Y.-Z. Zhang, A. Bhadra, P. Mitra

TL;DR
This paper performs a semiclassical analysis of scalar field entropy around brane world black holes, considering various tidal charge scenarios, to understand quantum effects in higher-dimensional gravity models.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed semiclassical entropy calculation for scalar fields in brane world black hole backgrounds with different tidal charge values.
Findings
Entropy depends on tidal charge magnitude and sign.
Extreme tidal charge cases show distinct entropy behavior.
Results enhance understanding of quantum fields in higher-dimensional black holes.
Abstract
A semiclassical calculation of entropy of a scalar field in the background of a class of brane world black holes (BWBH) is carried out in the presence of a brick wall cutoff when the 5D-bulk induced \textquotedblleft tidal charge" has generic or extreme values.
