New thought experiment to test the generalized second law of thermodynamics
George E. A. Matsas, Andre R. Rocha da Silva

TL;DR
This paper extends a classic thought experiment related to black hole thermodynamics to demonstrate that the generalized second law of thermodynamics remains valid under new conditions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel extension of Geroch's thought experiment to test the robustness of the generalized second law.
Findings
The extended thought experiment supports the validity of the generalized second law.
The results reinforce the thermodynamic consistency of black hole physics.
The approach offers a new perspective on black hole entropy and thermodynamics.
Abstract
We propose an extension of the original thought experiment proposed by Geroch, which sparked much of the actual debate and interest on black hole thermodynamics, and show that the generalized second law of thermodynamics is in compliance with it.
