Global properties of dilatonic Gauss-Bonnet black holes
M. Melis, S. Mignemi

TL;DR
This paper investigates the phase space of spherically symmetric black hole solutions in a four-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet system coupled to a scalar field, finding that only asymptotically flat solutions are regular.
Contribution
It characterizes the phase space of such black holes and establishes the uniqueness of asymptotically flat solutions in four dimensions.
Findings
Only asymptotically flat black hole solutions are regular in this system.
The phase space of solutions is thoroughly analyzed.
Regular solutions are constrained to a specific asymptotic behavior.
Abstract
We study the phase space of the spherically symmetric solutions of Einstein Gauss-Bonnet system nonminimally coupled to a scalar field and show that in four dimensions the only regular black hole solutions are asymptotically flat
