Brane-world Cosmologies with non-local bulk effects
R. J. van den Hoogen, Adam Horne

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that non-local bulk effects significantly influence the evolution of brane-world cosmologies, challenging the common practice of neglecting these effects in such models.
Contribution
The study highlights the importance of non-local bulk effects in brane-world cosmologies through three different scenarios, showing their impact on cosmological behavior.
Findings
Non-local bulk effects affect initial cosmological conditions.
Bulk effects influence future cosmological evolution.
Neglecting bulk effects may lead to incomplete models.
Abstract
It is very common to ignore the non-local bulk effects in the study of brane-world cosmologies using the brane-world approach. However, we shall illustrate through the use of three different scenarios, that the non-local bulk-effect does indeed have significant impact on both the initial and future behaviour of brane-world cosmologies.
