Jose Edgar Madriz Aguilar (IFM, Michoacana University), Mauricio, Bellini (Mar del Plata University & CONICET)

TL;DR
This paper develops a formalism connecting noncompact Kaluza-Klein theory with inflationary cosmology, showing that the scalar potential in single-field inflation models has a geometric origin within this framework.
Contribution
It introduces a complete formalism for inflation based on noncompact Kaluza-Klein theory, emphasizing the geometric origin of the scalar potential.
Findings
Scalar potential varies across different frames.
The formalism applies to single scalar field inflation.
Potential has a geometric origin in the theory.
Abstract
A formalization of the recently introduced formalism for inflation is developed from noncompact Kaluza-Klein theory. In particular, the case for a single scalar field inflationary model is studied. We obtain that the scalar potential, which assume different representations in different frames, has a geometrical origin.
