Stability of Cauchy Horizon under perturbations
Flavio Henrique, Elcio Abdalla

TL;DR
This paper investigates the stability of the Cauchy Horizon in Reissner-Nordström spacetime under scalar and gravitational perturbations, revealing significant instabilities that challenge its durability.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of how perturbations affect the Cauchy Horizon's stability, highlighting previously unconfirmed strong instabilities.
Findings
Scalar and gravitational perturbations induce strong instabilities.
The Cauchy Horizon is unstable under these perturbations.
Results suggest limitations on the classical predictability in charged black holes.
Abstract
We use perturbations in order to study the stability of the Cauchy Horizon in a Reissner-Nordstr\"om space-time. The perturbations are either scalar or gravitational, and indicate some strong instabilities.
