Photon deflection and precession of the periastron in terms of spatial gravitational fields
W. D. Flanders, G. S. Japaridze

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that a Maxwell-like framework for spatial gravitational fields accurately predicts photon deflection and periastron precession, providing a novel approach to gravitational phenomena.
Contribution
It introduces a modified Maxwell-like system for gravitational fields that correctly models photon deflection and orbital precession.
Findings
Accurately predicts photon deflection angle.
Correctly models precession of the periastron.
Validates the Maxwell-like gravitational field equations.
Abstract
We show that a Maxwell-like system of equations for spatial gravitational fields and (latter being the analogy of a magnetic field), modified to include an extra term for the field in the expression for force, leads to the correct values for the photon deflection angle and for the precession of the periastron.
