Geometric phase shift for detection of gravitational radiation
N V Mitskievich, A I Nesterov

TL;DR
This paper predicts a new geometric phase shift effect caused by gravitational waves on light beams, proposing a novel method for detecting gravitational radiation through this phenomenon.
Contribution
It introduces a new geometric phase shift effect induced by gravitational waves and proposes detection experiments utilizing this effect.
Findings
Prediction of a geometric phase shift caused by gravitational waves
Proposed experimental setup for gravitational wave detection
Estimated sensitivity and feasibility of the detection method
Abstract
An effect of geometrical phase shift is predicted for a light beam propagating in the field of a gravitational wave. Gravitational radiation detection experiments are proposed using this new effect, the corresponding estimates being given.
