Sugumi Kanno, Jiro Soda

TL;DR
This paper derives an effective Teukolsky equation on the brane to analyze Kaluza-Klein corrections in gravitational waves from perturbed rotating black strings, making the problem more tractable for numerical studies.
Contribution
It introduces a separable and numerically manageable effective Teukolsky equation on the brane for gravitational wave analysis in braneworld scenarios.
Findings
Derivation of a separable effective Teukolsky equation on the brane.
Facilitation of numerical analysis of KK corrections in gravitational waves.
Application to perturbed rotating black strings.
Abstract
To estimate Kaluza-Klein (KK) corrections on gravitational waves emitted by perturbed rotating black strings, we give the effective Teukolsky equation on the brane which is separable equation and hence numerically manageable.
