Generalized plane-fronted gravitational waves in any dimension
Yuri N. Obukhov

TL;DR
This paper explores generalized gravitational wave solutions in arbitrary-dimensional spacetimes, extending known four-dimensional wave solutions to higher dimensions with explicit Einstein and Einstein-Maxwell solutions.
Contribution
It introduces a unified framework for plane-fronted gravitational waves in any dimension, broadening the understanding of wave solutions in higher-dimensional gravity theories.
Findings
Derived explicit solutions for Einstein equations in arbitrary dimensions.
Extended known four-dimensional wave solutions to higher dimensions.
Included solutions with a cosmological constant.
Abstract
We study the gravitational waves in spacetimes of arbitrary dimension. They generalize the pp-waves and the Kundt waves, obtained earlier in four dimensions. Explicit solutions of the Einstein and Einstein-Maxwell equations are derived for an arbitrary cosmological constant.
