Quasinormal Modes in three-dimensional time-dependent Anti-de Sitter spacetime
Zai-Xiong Shen, Bin Wang, Ru-Keng Su

TL;DR
This paper investigates how massless scalar waves behave in a dynamic three-dimensional Anti-de Sitter spacetime, revealing modifications in decay and oscillation times of quasinormal modes due to the time dependence.
Contribution
It provides new insights into quasinormal modes in time-dependent AdS backgrounds, extending understanding beyond static black hole analyses.
Findings
Decay and oscillation times are altered in the time-dependent background.
Quasinormal ringing exhibits modified characteristics compared to static cases.
The study enhances understanding of wave dynamics in evolving black hole spacetimes.
Abstract
The massless scalar wave propagation in the time-dependent BTZ black hole background has been studied. It is shown that in the quasi-normal ringing both the decay and oscillation time-scales are modified in the time-dependent background.
