Reflection coefficient for superresonant scattering
Soumen Basak, Parthasarathi Majumdar

TL;DR
This paper studies how acoustic waves scatter off a rotating acoustic black hole, deriving a formula for the reflection coefficient at low frequencies to understand superresonant scattering phenomena.
Contribution
It provides a new analytical expression for the reflection coefficient in superresonant scattering of acoustic waves from rotating acoustic black holes.
Findings
Derived the frequency-dependent reflection coefficient.
Identified conditions for superresonant amplification.
Enhanced understanding of wave scattering in analogue black hole systems.
Abstract
We investigate superresonant scattering of acoustic disturbances from a rotating acoustic black hole in the low frequency range. We derive an expression for the reflection coefficient, exhibiting its frequency dependence in this regime.
