Paulo M. S\'a

TL;DR
This paper explores three-dimensional perfect fluid stars with polytropic equations of state, presenting new exact solutions and analyzing their properties in the context of three-dimensional black hole geometries.
Contribution
It introduces a new class of exact solutions for polytropic stars in three-dimensional spacetime, expanding the understanding of such configurations.
Findings
Derived a new class of exact solutions for polytropic stars
Matched stellar solutions to three-dimensional black hole geometries
Analyzed properties of these solutions in the context of 3D gravity
Abstract
We investigate three-dimensional perfect fluid stars with polytropic equation of state, matched to the exterior three-dimensional black hole geometry of Banados, Teitelboim and Zanelli. A new class of exact solutions for a generic polytropic index is found and analysed.
