Geusa de A. Marques (UFPb\UEPb), V. B. Bezerra (UFPb)

TL;DR
This paper investigates how a cosmic string's spacetime affects quantum particles, revealing modifications in energy spectra compared to flat spacetime, thus highlighting quantum effects induced by cosmic topological defects.
Contribution
It provides new insights into quantum behavior in curved spacetime around cosmic strings, including explicit energy spectrum calculations.
Findings
Energy spectra differ from flat spacetime values
Quantum effects are influenced by cosmic string topology
Potential-dependent spectral modifications
Abstract
We study the behaviour of a non-relativistic quantum particle interacting with different potentials, in the background spacetime generated by a cosmic string. We find the energy spectra for the quantum systems under consideration and discuss how they differ from their flat Minkowski spacetime values.
