Braneworld Effective Action at Low Energies
Sugumi Kanno, Jiro Soda

TL;DR
This paper derives the low-energy effective action for the Randall-Sundrum two-brane model, highlighting the non-linear radion's role and showing that brane gravity resembles a quasi-scalar-tensor theory.
Contribution
It provides a detailed derivation of the effective action emphasizing the non-linear radion dynamics in the brane world scenario.
Findings
Gravity on the brane is described by a quasi-scalar-tensor theory.
The radion plays a significant non-linear role in the effective theory.
The coupling function in the scalar-tensor description is explicitly characterized.
Abstract
The low energy effective theory for the Randall-Sundrum two-brane system is investigated with an emphasis on the role of the non-linear radion in the brane world. It is shown that the gravity on the brane world is described by a quasi-scalar-tensor theory with a specific coupling function.
