TL;DR
This paper derives a general solution for the gravitational field generated by two opposing beams of pure radiation, exploring its properties and special cases within the framework of general relativity.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive, general solution for the gravitational field of two counter-moving radiation beams, extending previous specific solutions.
Findings
The solution depends on an arbitrary function and a scale parameter.
Properties of the solution are analyzed.
Previous particular solutions are recovered as special cases.
Abstract
The stationary gravitational field of two identical counter-moving beams of pure radiation is found in full generality. The solution depends on an arbitrary function and a parameter which sets the scale of the energy density. Some of its properties are studied. Previous particular solutions are derived as subcases.
