TL;DR
This paper analytically derives the gravitational field of a rigidly rotating charged dust cylinder, classifies solutions, and discusses conditions for closed timelike curves, advancing understanding of rotating charged matter in general relativity.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive classification of solutions for rotating charged dust cylinders and analyzes their physical properties and causal structure.
Findings
Derived all regular solutions analytically.
Identified conditions for closed timelike curves.
Analyzed acceleration and vorticity of dust.
Abstract
The gravitational field of a rigidly rotating cylinder of charged dust is found analytically. The general and all regular solutions are divided into three classes. The acceleration and the vorticity of the dust are given, as well as the conditions for the appearance of closed timelike curves.
