TL;DR
This paper uses Fuchsian techniques to identify initial data conditions that produce a large family of Gowdy vacuum spacetimes with predictable asymptotic behavior.
Contribution
It establishes a specific initial data condition that guarantees the same asymptotic form in Gowdy vacuum spacetimes, extending previous constructions.
Findings
Identified initial data conditions for Gowdy vacuum spacetimes.
Demonstrated control over asymptotic behavior.
Extended the class of known Gowdy solutions.
Abstract
By Fuchsian techniques, a large family of Gowdy vacuum spacetimes have been constructed for which one has detailed control over the asymptotic behaviour. In this paper we formulate a condition on initial data yielding the same form of asymptotics.
