Estimate on the deceleration parameter in a Universe with variable fine structure constant
Marcelo S. Berman, Luis A. Trevisan

TL;DR
This paper models a universe with decreasing fine structure constant and positive acceleration, estimating the current deceleration parameter based on their theoretical framework and experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a cosmological model linking variable fine structure constant with universe acceleration and estimates the current deceleration parameter.
Findings
Universe exhibits positive acceleration.
Fine structure constant decreases over time.
Current deceleration parameter estimated from model and data.
Abstract
We determine a cosmological model that include a positive acceleration of the Universe and a time decreasing fine structure constant. The present day deceleration parameter is estimated by us, according to our model and the available experimental data .
