The Gravitational Cherenkov Radiation
A.M. Ignatov

TL;DR
This paper explores gravitational Cherenkov radiation caused by superluminal energy-momentum discontinuities, demonstrating the formation of a Mach cone and calculating its power spectrum.
Contribution
It introduces a model for gravitational Cherenkov radiation from superluminal sources and evaluates its power spectrum, advancing understanding of gravitational wave phenomena.
Findings
Formation of a gravitational Mach cone.
Calculation of Cherenkov radiation power spectrum.
Identification of energy-momentum discontinuities at superluminal speeds.
Abstract
An example of discontinuity of the energy-momentum tensor moving at superluminal velocity is discussed. It is shown that the gravitational Mach cone is formed. The power spectrum of the corresponding Cherenkov radiation is evaluated.
