Comment to the paper `Conformal transformations single out a unique measure of distance'
H.-J. Schmidt

TL;DR
This comment addresses errors in a previous paper on conformal transformations and emphasizes the need for further research to determine the physical metric among conformally equivalent options.
Contribution
It clarifies the inaccuracies in the original work and highlights unresolved questions about identifying the physical metric in conformal transformations.
Findings
Identification of errors in the original paper
Highlighting unresolved issues in conformal metrics
Encouragement for future research on physical metrics
Abstract
We discuss the consequences of the incorrectness [see the Erratum in Phys. Rev D 49, 1145 (1994)] of that paper and add two related remarks. The scope of this comment is to encourage further research on: `Which of the conformally equivalent metrics is the physical one?'
