On the detection of scalar hair
Narayan Banerjee, Somasri Sen, Naresh Dadhich

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the existence of scalar hair in black holes within a nonminimally coupled scalar-tensor theory can be inferred from the minimally coupled case through a conformal transformation, simplifying the analysis.
Contribution
It introduces a method to analyze scalar hair in complex theories by relating them to simpler minimally coupled models via conformal transformations.
Findings
Scalar hair existence can be deduced from minimally coupled scalar field models.
Conformal transformation links nonminimally and minimally coupled scalar-tensor theories.
Simplifies the analysis of black hole scalar hair in complex theories.
Abstract
It is shown that the conclusion regarding the existence of a scalar hair for a black hole in a nonminimally coupled self interacting scalar tensor theory can be drawn from the that for a scalar field minimally coupled to gravity by means of a conformal transformation.
