Varying c and Particle Horizons
Luis P Chimento, Alejandro S Jakubi, Diego Pavon

TL;DR
This paper investigates how varying speed of light theories align with the second law of thermodynamics, finding that certain cosmological scenarios remain consistent with thermodynamic principles.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the attractor solution addressing the flatness problem is compatible with the generalized second law at late times in varying c theories.
Findings
Attractor solutions are consistent with the second law at late times.
Varying c theories can satisfy thermodynamic constraints.
The flatness problem can be addressed without violating thermodynamics.
Abstract
We explore what restrictions may impose the second law of thermodynamics on varying speed of light theories. We find that the attractor scenario solving the flatness problem is consistent with the generalized second law at late time.
