Yes, semiclassical zero temperature black holes exist
David A. Lowe

TL;DR
This paper refutes a previous claim by demonstrating that semiclassical zero temperature black holes do indeed exist, correcting an earlier incorrect calculation.
Contribution
It provides a corrected analysis proving the existence of semiclassical zero temperature black holes, challenging prior assertions.
Findings
Previous claims of non-existence were based on incorrect calculations.
Semiclassical zero temperature black holes are theoretically possible.
The paper corrects the earlier misconception about black hole solutions.
Abstract
In a recent paper (gr-qc/0002007), Anderson, Hiscock and Taylor claimed that "in all physically realistic cases, macroscopic zero temperature black hole solutions do not exist." We show this conclusion was reached on the basis of an incorrect calculation.
