TL;DR
This paper reviews gravitoelectromagnetism, discussing its theoretical foundations and recent developments, including the gravitational Poynting flux and energy circulation around rotating masses.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of gravitoelectromagnetism and introduces new insights into gravitational energy flow and the Poynting flux in rotating systems.
Findings
Existence of steady gravitational energy flow around rotating masses
Analysis of the gravitational Poynting flux from different perspectives
Recent theoretical developments in gravitoelectromagnetism
Abstract
Gravitoelectromagnetism is briefly reviewed and some recent developments in this topic are discussed. The stress-energy content of the gravitoelectromagnetic field is described from different standpoints. In particular, the gravitational Poynting flux is analyzed and it is shown that there exists a steady flow of gravitational energy circulating around a rotating mass.
