TL;DR
This paper introduces a new concept called moving-mirror entropy, which quantifies the information loss related to a moving mirror in a 2D Minkowski spacetime, linking quantum field theory and information theory.
Contribution
It proposes a novel definition of moving-mirror entropy that captures the temporarily inaccessible information in a quantum field with a moving boundary.
Findings
Defines moving-mirror entropy in a quantum field context.
Connects moving-mirror entropy to information accessibility.
Provides a theoretical framework for future studies.
Abstract
We consider a quantized scalar field in a two-dimensional Minkowski spacetime with a moving mirror and propose a definition of moving-mirror entropy associated with temporarily inaccessible information about the future.
