TL;DR
This paper numerically investigates how thick domain walls can intersect with black holes within Schwarzschild spacetime, revealing specific scalar field configurations that describe such intersections.
Contribution
It introduces numerical solutions for scalar fields representing thick domain walls intersecting black holes, a novel exploration of their gravitational interaction.
Findings
Existence of scalar field configurations for thick domain walls intersecting black holes
Numerical solutions demonstrating the intersection configurations
Insights into the gravitational interaction between domain walls and black holes
Abstract
We discuss the gravitationally interacting system of a thick domain wall and a black hole. We numerically solve the scalar field equation in the Schwarzschild spacetime and show that there exist scalar field configurations representing thick domain walls intersecting the black hole.
