Mathematical model of interest matchmaking in electronic social networks
Andreas de Vries

TL;DR
This paper formulates interest matchmaking in electronic social networks as an optimization problem, introducing a function to measure the matching degree between user profiles.
Contribution
It presents a novel mathematical model for interest matchmaking, defining a specific function to evaluate profile compatibility.
Findings
A new matching degree function is proposed.
The model enables optimized interest-based matchmaking.
Potential for improved social network recommendations.
Abstract
The problem of matchmaking in electronic social networks is formulated as an optimization problem. In particular, a function measuring the matching degree of fields of interest of a search profile with those of an advertising profile is proposed.
