Encoding of Functions of Correlated Sources
Saravanan Vijayakumaran

TL;DR
This paper discusses the encoding of functions of correlated sources but was withdrawn due to errors in its proofs, highlighting challenges in establishing theoretical results in this area.
Contribution
The paper attempted to analyze the encoding of functions of correlated sources, aiming to advance theoretical understanding in network information theory.
Findings
Identified errors in achievability proofs from previous work
Highlights the complexity of encoding functions of correlated sources
Serves as a cautionary example in theoretical research
Abstract
This submission is being withdrawn due to serious errors in the achievability proofs. The reviewers of the journal I had submitted to had found errors back in 2006. I had forgotten about this paper until I saw the CFP for a JSAC issue on in-network computation. http://www.jsac.ucsd.edu/Calls/in-networkcomputationcfp.pdf.
