TL;DR
This study uses muon spin rotation experiments to determine the muon localization site in U(Pt0.95Pd0.05)3 by analyzing the Knight shift's temperature and angular dependence.
Contribution
It identifies the muon localization site in U(Pt,Pd)3 using detailed Knight shift measurements and analysis, providing insight into the material's magnetic properties.
Findings
Muon localization site at (0,0,0) in U(Pt0.95Pd0.05)3
Temperature dependence of Knight shift analyzed with modified Curie-Weiss law
Angular variation of Knight shift measured from 10 to 250 K
Abstract
The angular and temperature (10-250 K) variation of the Knight shift of single-crystalline U(Pt0.95Pd0.05)3 has been measured in transverse field (B=0.6 T) mSR experiments. By analysing the temperature variation of the Knight shift with a modified Curie-Weiss expression the muon localization site in this hexagonal material is determined at (0,0,0).
