Sutapa Mukherji, Somendra M. Bhattacharjee

TL;DR
This paper reviews nonequilibrium growth phenomena, focusing on the KPZ equation and renormalization group methods, highlighting recent advances and key differences from equilibrium growth.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of nonequilibrium growth problems, emphasizing the KPZ equation and recent developments in the field.
Findings
Distinct scaling behaviors from equilibrium growth
Insights into the KPZ equation dynamics
Recent progress in renormalization group analysis
Abstract
We discuss the features of nonequilibrium growth problems, their scaling description and their differences from equilibrium problems. The emphasis is on the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation and the renormalization group point of view. Some of the recent developments along these lines are mentioned.
